    Why use Kellogg's® Rice Krispies®?

As the first crisped rice cereal, Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® has been bringing families together in the kitchen for over 80 years.

To experience the timeless flavor, make your Rice Krispies Treats® squares with the original Rice Krispies® brand cereal.

    Where to buy

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan lined with foil and coated with cooking spray. (Or, press mixture into two 9-inch round pans lined with foil and coated with cooking spray.) Cool. Remove from pan(s). Remove foil.

4. Decorate with frosting and/or candies. Best if served the same day.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 thru 4 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.

Note

For best results, use fresh marshmallows.
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow crème can be substituted for marshmallows.
Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended.
Store no more than two days at room temperature in airtight container.

Yummy but sad story. My son has been eating kellogg cereals out of his Cocoa Krispies bowl since he was 5. It was given to him when beloved neighbor, Harold, died. Rany wanted the bowl to remember him by. Tonight, in his 12th year, a very difficult time for him at school, and home, the bowl crashed to the floor. He cried for an hour. He's not one to cry. In fact, I've been seeing him struggle with his growing up. He seemed to be letting out all his pent up emotions over loss. Loss of the bowl, his father moving away, and feeling like an out cast at school. If any one knows how to, where to get a new Cocoa Krispies [brown mug with handle] cereal bowl, I would be eternally grateful. It was a very emotional evening for both of us. He said "how will I ever get to enjoy my cereal without my C.K. bowl." Thanks for letting me share my story about Rice Krispies Products.
